The Boxing Association of Sri Lanka (BASL) organized the Men's and Women's "Clifford Cup Boxing Championships - 2023," held from 13 to 17 November 2023, at the Royal MAS Arena in Colombo 07. The Sri Lanka Air Force Boxing team participated and demonstrated exceptional prowess, securing Six Gold, Two Silver, and Six Bronze medals, marking a remarkable achievement at this Boxing Meet. Prominent boxing teams in Sri Lanka, including the SL Army, SL Navy, SL Police and various well-established boxing clubs, vied for the prestigious Clifford Cup title.

The Clifford Cup is a renowned event and the second-highest Boxing Championship held annually in Sri Lanka. It provides an opportunity for boxing players who have excelled in Novices and Intermediate Boxing Championships to compete at this prestigious meet.

Notably, the Airwomen showcased outstanding performances throughout the championship, culminating in their victory in the Women's Clifford Cup Boxing Championship 2023. This championship marked a historic moment as the Air Force Women's boxing team secured the Clifford Cup Boxing Champion title for the first time. Leading Aircraftwoman Perera KKIT was nominated as the 'Most Scientific Woman Best Boxer' of the championship, adding an extra layer of distinction to the Air Force's achievements in the boxing arena.
