The SLAF Base Hingurakgoda celebrated its 45th anniversary today (23 November 2023). A series of events, including community service projects and recreational activities were organized under the guidance of the Acting Base Commander SLAF Base Hingurakgoda, Group Captain MMA Mendis together with all officers, other ranks and the civilian staff.

The day’s celebrations commenced with the customary working parade. Following the parade a cricket match was held at the Base playground and the event culminated in an all-ranks lunch.

To coincide with the anniversary celebrations a blood donation campaign, and a tree-planting event were conducted today.
