INTER-UNIT BODYBUILDING AND PHYSIQUE CHAMPIONSHIPS - 2023

The Inter Unit Bodybuilding & Physique Championships 2023 took place at the SLAF Trade Training School Ekala, yesterday (29 November 2023). The event culminated with an awards ceremony held at the Main Auditorium, graced by the presence of Air Commodore Deshapriya Silva, Director of Air Defence and Base Commander of SLAF Base Katunayake, as the Chief Guest.
The teams comprising dedicated players, showcased their skills in the tournament. The competition was judged by the Bodybuilding Federation of Sri Lanka. Finally, SLAF Station Colombo clinched the Championship, while the SLAF Base Ratmalana secured the Runners-Up position.
The prestigious title of "Mr. Air Force" for the overall championship was conferred upon Flight Sergeant Narampanawa WMTB from SLAF Station Colombo.
The awards ceremony, held at the Main Auditorium, was attended by the Director Sports of the SLAF, Group Captain Samantha Weerasekara, Commanding Officer of SLAF Trade Training School Ekala, Group Captain Uditha Piyasena, Chairman of SLAF Body Building, Group Captain Sanjaya Vithana, Secretary SLAF Bodybuilding Wing Commander Chamil Hettiarchchi, members of the Air Force Sports Council and other invitees participated to witness the finals and awards ceremony.
