Russian Security Council Secretary, Mr. Nikolay Patrushev, arrived in Sri Lanka yesterday (06 December 2023), to participate in scheduled security consultations between Russia and Sri Lanka. Upon his arrival, he was warmly welcomed by the Secretary to the Ministry of Defence, General Kamal Guneratne (Retd), and the Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Udeni Rajapaksa. Subsequently, the Russian Security Council Secretary was honored with a ceremonial guard of honour.
