COMMANDER VISITS THE SINGAPORE AIR SHOW – 2024

The Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Udeni Rajapaksa, attended the 9th Singapore Air Show, Asia’s largest and one of the world’s most influential aerospace and defence events, which commenced on 20 February 2024 at the Changi Exhibition Centre.
Over a thousand aerospace and defence companies, more than 50 countries/ regions and close to 50,000 trade visitors attended the Air Show. The Commander visited the exhibition with many other government and military dignitaries from international Air Forces around the globe.
The Singapore Air Show - 2024 comprised an Air Show and Aviation Leadership Summit, offering an unprecedented network of international senior commercial and government delegations.
The Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Udeni Rajapaksa engaged in cordial discussions and interactions with prominent aircraft industries in various countries. Additionally, formal interactions were held with defence envoys, including representatives from the Department of Defence in the United States of America. Emphasizing bilateral cooperation, the Commander sought avenues for collaborative partnerships aimed at attracting investment into the military aviation sector. Moreover, the focus extended to exploring advancements in cutting-edge aircraft technologies adopted by leading nations, intending to enhance and modernize the SLAF aircraft fleet.
