No. 6 Squadron of the SLAF Base Anuradhapura celebrated its 31st anniversary on 15 March 2024 with a series of events, including the customary working parade, sports events and a lunch for all squadron personnel.

As part of the commitment to community service, all the squadron members participated in a cleaning project on 11 March 2024 at the "Ashoka" Children’s Home managed by the Anuradhapura Buddhist Association. This collective effort aimed to support local individuals in need. The initiative overseen by Commanding Officer, Wing Commander DUE De Silva, also included providing lunch to the children at the children’s home and donating stationery supplies for their educational pursuits.

The anniversary day featured the customary working parade held at the squadron premises, which was received by Commanding Officer No.6 Squadron.

The day's celebrations culminated in a cricket tournament, graced by the presence of distinguished guests including the Director General of Air Operations, Air Vice Marshal Lasitha Sumanaweera and Base Commander SLAF Base Anuradhapura, Air Commodore Amitha Jayamaha. The event was followed by entertainment and lunch for all the squadron personnel.
