THE TEMPLE OF THE SACRED TOOTH RELIC EXTENDS ASSISTANCE FOR ‘MAGEN POTHAK UTHURATA' LITERACY DRIVE

The Chief Custodian of the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic, Dr. Pradeep Nilanga Dela, has made a noteworthy contribution of 2 million rupees in financial assistance towards the advancement of the 'Magen Pothak Uthurata' literacy campaign within the Northern Province of Sri Lanka in line to the celebration of the 73rd anniversary of the Sri Lanka Air Force.

The ceremonial presentation of the cheque took place today (21 March 2024) at the Air Force Headquarters. During this event, the cheque was formally handed over to the Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Udeni Rajapaksa, symbolizing the endorsement of the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic towards the enhancement of literacy and educational endeavors within the Northern Province.

The 'Magen Pothak Uthurata' literacy campaign is a notable donation of 73,000 books to facilitate educational enrichment within the Northern Province under the overarching 'Wings of Friendship' endeavor. Within this framework, the primary objective is to furnish educational resources with a particular emphasis on addressing 'Quality Education'.
