ANNUAL COMMANDER’S INSPECTION AT SLAF STATION PALALY

The Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Udeni Rajapaksa, conducted the Annual Commander’s Inspection at SLAF Station Palaly today (27 March 2024).

The Commanding Officer of SLAF Station Palaly, Group Captain Chaminda Herath, welcomed the Commander upon his arrival and a Guard of Honour was conferred. The Commander inspected all areas of the Station including the Station Headquarters, Air Traffic Control Tower, No. 22 Regiment Wing and Welfare facilities of the Station. Furthermore, the Commander joined a cross-section of Officers, Airmen, Airwomen, and Civilian staff at the Airmen’s Mess for the customary All-Ranks Lunch.

Concluding the inspection, the Commander addressed All Ranks and Civilian employees of the Station, expressing profound gratitude for their significant contributions to maintaining the Station at exceptionally high standards and for their pivotal role played in the success of the 'Air Tattoo 2024' educational and technological exhibition in Jaffna.

Sri Lanka Air Force stands as the sole gallant aerial force in the nation, skillfully projecting airpower over its airspace and supporting the operations of surface entities.
