ELECTRONICS AND TELECOMMUNICATION ENGINEERING WING AT SLAF BASE KATUNAYAKE CELEBRATES 66TH ANNIVERSARY

The Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering (E&TE) Wing at SLAF Base Katunayake proudly celebrated 66th anniversary yesterday (01 April 2024). Being the pioneers of avionics maintenance, the E&TE Wing has rendered its service to all flying formations of the SLAF and it has become the core of avionics modifications and avionics-related Research & Development projects.
The customary Working Parade was conducted to commence the anniversary celebrations with the participation of officers and airmen/airwomen of the Wing and was reviewed by the present Commanding Officer, Wing Commander MAS Heshal. A community service project was also conducted at the Mhosu Child Development Centre.
With the partaking of the Director General Electronics and Computer Engineering, Air Vice Marshal Demian Weerasinghe a cricket tournament was also conducted with the participation of all members of the wing, including the civil staff.
