26th Formation Day Celebrated at SLAF Sigiriya

An eventful day of religious and recreational activities marked the celebration of the 26th anniversary of Sri Lanka Air Force Station Sigiriya on 19th April 2011.
A parade held at the camp premises, which was revieved by the Commanding Officer SLAF Station Sigiriya, Wing Commander Chaminda De Silva, initiated the anniversary celebrations. This was followed by multi religious activities carried out to bring about blessings on the Station. In order to mark the 26th anniversary, 26 Mango trees were planted within the camp premises.
Later a cricket tournament was conducted with the participation of all ranks and civilians of the station. This was followed by an all ranks lunch.
