Sri Lanka Air Force Base Ratmalana celebrated its 26th Anniversary

Sri Lanka Air Force Base Ratmalana celebrated its 26th Formation Day on 23rd April 2011.
SLAF Base Ratmalana is situated in the district of Colombo, approximately 10 Kms South of the Colombo city. It is co-located with the Colombo Airport Ratmalana which is used mainly for domestic flights.
Ratmalana airport is a main hub for both military and commercial transport flights to other destinations in the country. It is managed by the Airport Aviation Authority.
Due to bad weather conditions, the working Parade and recreation activities organized were canceled. The Base Commander Air Commodore Sumangala Dias addressed the Cross section of the servicemen before the all ranks lunch at the Airmen mess.
