The oriental band of the Sri Lanka Air force performed in “Adaraneeya Youwanayana” a live evening programme in view of Vesak on Rupavahini this evening( 13th May 2011).

The formation of the Air Forces Military Band has been described as a thoughtful concept, introduced by Flight Lieutenant (later Air Chief Marshal) M.J. Terry De S. Gunawardena, in the era of Air Commodore P.H. Mendis - Commander of the RCyAF.
