The Commanding Officer SLAF Mullativu, Wing Commander MPS Manapperuma declared open a newly built bus stand at the 3rd mile post on 07th July 2011. The opening was carried out at the auspicious time of 0915 hrs with Hindu religious activities.

With the successful completion of the Humanitarian Operations, people of the area who are now increasingly engaged in routine activities found no place to wait for the bus at the 3rd mile post.

The team from SLAF Mullaithivu identified this requirement and made it a reality with available material and the efforts of the SLAF personnel. Prior to this, an abandoned preschool was also  renovated and handed over to the villagers.
