COMMANDER’S INSPECTION OF SLAF STATION KOGGALA
The Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Bandu Edirisinghe, conducted the Commander’s Inspection of SLAF Station Koggala today (07 August 2026). The Commander was received by the Commanding Officer, Group Captain Mangala Seneviratne and was accorded by a street line. The Commander awarded a Certificate of Commendation to LAC Wasantha Kumara OKD (Water Works Technician) in recognition of his exceptional contribution to the Station.
The Commander inspected all areas of the Station. Addressing Officers, all ranks and civilian staff, the Commander highlighted the critical role of SLAF Station Koggala in providing regional rescue operations and holiday facilities for SLAF personnel. He also outlined his strategic vision to upgrade technological capabilities with the aim of improving operational effectiveness and enhancing overall service proficiency.
The Commanding Officer, Group Captain Seneviratne, and all personnel were commended by the Commander, for their dedication and efforts in maintaining the Station to the expected standards.
