SLAF Academy Fire Fighters swiftly responded to a call for assistance made by the Managing Director of Mitsui Cement (Pvt) ltd, China Bay -Trincomalee  as they could not contain the fire which had erupted in a cement store of their company.

Fire Fighters of the SLAF Academy helped extinguish the fire which  broke out during the late hours of 1 September 2012 within a short period of time, averting major damage to other property of the Company stores.
