Sri Lanka Air Force Academy Cby celebrated its 55th Anniversary on 03rd April 2016 giving prominence to recreational activities.
 
In commemorating this special occasion, a friendly soft ball cricket tournament was held; giving the opportunity for the Academy personnel to celebrate the occasion in a sociable atmosphere and the event was organized under the patronage of Commandant of SLAF Academy China Bay.
