A major fire which broke out  in a shopping complex at the centre of Tissamaharama town during the early hours of this morning (24th April 2011) was successfully doused by Fire Fighters of SLAF Unit Wirawila. 

A crew of five members of the unit fire section moved swiftly to the location within minutes and managed to prevent the fire spreading to other buildings.
