No. 59 Junior Command and Staff Course Commences
The No. 59 Junior Command and Staff Course commenced today (02 January 2019) at the Junior Command and Staff College, Sri Lanka Air Force Academy, China Bay. The Opening Address was conducted by the Commanding Officer, Group Captain SDGM Silva. The Chief Instructor and Senior Instructor also briefed the Student Officers about important aspects of the Course.
A total of 22 Sri Lanka Air Force Officers, 2 Officers each from Sri Lanka Army and Navy, 01 officer each from the Pakistan Air Force, Republic of China Army Air Force have reported up to now to follow the course which is for a duration of 14 weeks (2 January 2019 to 2 April 2019). Further, the Indian Air Force and Bangladesh Air Force have confirmed to send 01 Officer each to participate for the course. This is the first occasion a Republic of China Army Air Force Officer is following the course at the Junior Command and Staff College.
