Graduation Ceremony of No 62 Junior Command and Staff Course
The Graduation Ceremony of the No 62 Junior Command
and Staff Course was held at the Astra Hall, Academy China Bay on 27
November 2019.
Air
Vice Marshal WLRP Rodrigo, Director Ground Operations graced the
ceremony as the Chief Guest. Indian Defence Attaché and delegates from
the SL Army and SL Navy were among distinguished invitees.
The
ceremony marked the end of an 11-week long course attended by a total
of 30 Officers. 25 officers from the Sri Lanka Air Force in the ranks of
Squadron Leader and Flight Lieutenant, 1 officer from the Sri Lanka
Navy in the rank of Lieutenant and one officer each from friendly
foreign nation Air Forces, Bangladesh , India, Pakistan and China.
The
JC&SC is accredited to the University of Kelaniya and the Officers
who fulfilled the required criteria were offered with a Post Graduate
Diploma in Defence Management.
A
Guest Night was held at the Officers’ Mess to mark the Graduation with
the participation of Commandant, Director Academic Studies. Registrar,
Faculty Members of the Junior Command and Staff College, graduates and
their beloved wives.
