The Opening Address of No. 50 Junior Command and Staff Course
The No. 50 Junior Commanders’ Course commenced on 04th January 2016 at the Junior Command and Staff College, Sri Lanka Air Force Academy,China Bay. The Opening Address was conducted by the Commanding Officer Group Captain AJ Amerasinghe.
The Junior Command and Staff College was established in 1999 with the aim of developing the professional and managerial knowledge of Officers in the rank of Squadron Leader and below in order to prepare them to hold staff appointments.
A total of 17 Sri Lanka Air Force Officers in the rank of Squadron Leader and Flight Lieutenant, 04 Officers from the Sri Lanka Navy in the rank of Lieutenant Commander and 01 Squadron Leader from Bangladesh Air Force are following the staff course for a duration of 14 weeks (04th January 2016 to 08th April 2016). Soon after the Opening Address, a self-introduction session by the student officers was conducted and subsequently the Directing Staff gave an overview of the expectation of the course to all the Student Officers.
