Progress of No. 76 JC&SC Course
INDUSTRIAL VISITS OF JUNIOR COMMAND & STAFF COURSE NO 76
No 76 Junior Command & Staff Course visited the Disaster Management Centre, Central Bank of Sri Lanka and Sri Lanka Ports Authority completing their industrial visits as per the course calendar. Student Officers were briefed on the functions and the prominence of those respective institutions as to how they are directly contributing to the national Security and Economy.
THE MANAGEMENT MODULE AT KDU - NO 76 JC&SC
The Management module of the Student Officers of No 76 Junior Command and Staff Course commenced on 20 May 2024 at the Management Faculty of General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University. During the module Student Officers were underwent in various management-related disciplines, including General Management, Marketing, Research Methodology, Economics, Statistics, Geopolitics and Project Management. Conclusion of the module was marked by an interaction session organized by the student Officers at the Officers’ Mess SLAF Base Rma on 11 June 2024.

IHL MODULE - NO 76 JC&SC
No 76 Junior Command and Staff Course successfully completed the training programme on Human Rights and International Humanitarian Law at the Center for the Study of Human Rights, University of Colombo. The programme was started on 12th Jun 24 by an expert panel of scholars from the University of Colombo. On 14th Jun 24, certification awarding ceremony was conducted on completion of the programme and the event was graced by the Dean Faculty of Law, Colombo University Prof. (Dr). Nishantha Punchihewa.
COURSE PICNIC OF NO 76 JUNIOR COMMAND AND STAFF COURSE
The course picnic of the 76th batch of the Junior Command and Staff College took place on 17 th May 2024 at Sober Island Trincomalee. The event was attended by the Commanding Officer, Directing Staff and the permanent staff of the college. The program featured a variety of entertainment events including team games, karaoke event and water sports.
The physical fitness test for the 76th Junior Command and Staff Course took place on 4th May 2024 at the Sri Lanka Air Force Academy China Bay, marking the initial event for the ‘Best Sportsman’ award. Twenty-seven officers participated in this test.
ICE BREAKER EVENT OF THE 76TH JUNIOR COMMAND AND STAFF COURSE
76th Junior Command and Staff Course “Ice Breaker” event took place on 30th April 2024 at the Officers' Mess of the Sri Lanka Air Force Academy China Bay. The event was graced by the Commandant Air Commodore RADTM Weerarathna and senior Officers of the Academy. The event provided a valuable opportunity for 27 Student Officers to engage with senior Officers to share their experiences and foster the camaraderie.
