Progress of No. 80 JC&SC Course

NO. 80 JCSC STUDENT OFFICERS COMPLETE EDUCATIONAL VISIT AT CTS DIYATALAWA

An educational visit for the Student Officers of No. 80 Junior Command and Staff Course was successfully concluded on 23 November 2025 at the SLAF Combat Training School, Diyatalawa.

During the visit, a Leadership and Team-Building Programme was conducted under the guidance of the Acting Commanding Officer, Group Captain AKW Lakshman. The Chief Instructor Recruit Training, Squadron Leader RMAM Rathnayake, conducted the programme with the support of the other instructors of the school. A series of leadership and team-building activities were carried out during the session, providing the Student Officers with hands-on experience in decision-making, coordination and effective communication.

A total of 27 Student Officers actively participated in the programme, engaging enthusiastically in each activity and demonstrating excellent teamwork and leadership potential. The event served as a valuable opportunity to enhance their leadership skills and strengthen their understanding of group dynamics, contributing positively to their overall professional development.



Beach Cleaning Programme by No. 80 Junior Command and Staff Course

The Student Officers of No. 80 Junior Command and Staff Course conducted a beach cleaning programme at Sweat Bay on 09 November 2025 as part of the Course Hike activity. The programme was organized with the aim of promoting environmental conservation and fostering a sense of social and community responsibility among the Student Officers.

Both Staff and Student Officers actively took part in cleaning the beach area, removing waste, and ensuring that it was disposed of in an environmentally responsible manner. The initiative not only contributed to preserving the natural coastal environment but also encouraged participants to adopt sustainable practices in their future endeavors.

This effort reflects the Course’s commitment to environmental stewardship and aligns with the Sri Lanka Air Force’s continued contribution towards maintaining a clean, healthy, and sustainable environment in support of national objectives
