The Air Force Civil Engineers Rise to the Challenge: Api Venuven Api Housing Project Stage 16

The Air Force Directorate of Civil Engineering successfully completed their role in constructing 60 complete houses under the 16th Api Venuven Api Housing programme, concluded recently in Horowpathana.
HE the President Mahinda Rajapaksa handed over the keys to 104 houses built in the Anuradhapura District under the 16th stage of the “Api Wenuwen Api housing project for war heroes” on 5th July 2014 at a ceremony held at the Horowpathana Madya Maha Vidyalaya Anuradhapura.
The construction of the 60 houses was carried out by Sri Lanka Air Force, under the supervision of the Directorate of Civil Engineering and the Directorate of Welfare, with the participation of 300 airmen attached primarily from the Directorate of Civil Engineering as well as from other Directorates. Sri Lanka Air Force Base Anuradhapura provided the Administrative Support for this endeavor and the construction works was done under three phases, with 20 houses in each phase.
