Nigerian NDC Visits Air Force Headquarters

A 20-member delegation from the Nigerian
National Defence College comprising senior Officers from the Nigerian
Army, Navy and the Air Force and one civilian student, who are currently
on their Overseas Study Tour to Sri Lanka, paid a visit to the Sri
Lanka Air Force Headquarters this morning (12 May 2015). The delegation
was headed by Commodore Chukwuka Joel CHIEJILE as the team
leader.
On their arrival to AFHQ, they were received by AVM Vijitha Gunaratne the Director Training. Subsequently, a briefing was conducted by Group Captain Udeni Rarapakshe, the Senior Staff Officer Air Operations on the history, capabilities, achievements and future challenges of the Sri Lanka Air Force. Thereafter, the delegation had the opportunity to meet the Chief of Staff of the Air Force, Air Vice Marshal Gagan Bulathsinhala, who made himself available for an interactive Q&A Session for the benefit of the senior ranking NDC students.
On conclusion, Commodore Chukwuka Joel CHIEJILE had a discussion with the Commander of the Air Force Air Marshal Kolitha Gunatilleke and presented a symbolic memento to the Commander. The Commander reciprocated by presenting a memento to Commodore Chukwuka Joel CHIEJILE to mark the visit.
