Special Felicitation Ceremony for Rescue & Relief Contingent to Nepal

HE the President Maithripala Sirisena, together with the Prime Minister Hon. Ranil Wickramasinghe in a special felicitation ceremony on Monday (18) at Temple Trees, recognized the invaluable contribution of the Sri Lanka’s Rescue & Relief contingent to Nepal.
At the ceremony presided over by the President, and attended by the Tri-service Commanders, the four civil medical consultants and the full contingent of military personnel representing the Sri Lanka Army, Navy and Air Force were presented with awards of recognition. The three service commanders were also presented with mementos of recognition.
President Maithripala Sirisena lauded the Sri Lankan Contingent and expressed his gratitude for their admirable performance in Nepal and congratulated them on their achievements. The Prime Minister also expressed his gratitude and congratulated the contingent.
